    Can I order a gift card?

    Kale yeah you can! Purchase your gift card.

    When purchasing a gift card you can send digitally to the recipient, or you can have a physical gift card mailed.

    Gift cards can be used in-store, online, and in the app!

    Does Roots offer delivery?

    Yes!  Roots offers our own in-house delivery service through both our Roots App and our online ordering platform. This is the most cost effective delivery option compared to alternative Third-Party delivery options.

    Does Roots offer catering services for large groups?

    Yes! We believe a Roots bowl goes with any occasion. We are happy to provide catering services for a wide variety of events – be it a post-game meal, a large office conference, or a special event (yes we’ll even do weddings or bridal party meals!).  Learn more about our catering services.

    Where can I locate the nutritional information for Roots bowls?

    We pride ourselves on offering natural, delicious, and satisfying bowls to our community.  Our guide can be found on the menu tab of our website.

    Is Roots allergen-friendly? Where can I find your allergen information?

    At Roots, we are happy to accommodate allergies and various dietary restrictions.  You are always welcome to customize your bowl, and our crew will gladly make suggestions to fit your dietary needs.

    What is a Hotspot?

    A hotspot is a group delivery location that you can order to on a specific day and time. You can place your order individually and then take advantage of free delivery! We have hotspots in our Charlottesville and Richmond locations.  View our list of available hotspots and order here.

    I’d love to open a Roots in my town - do you all offer franchising opportunities?

    At this time, we do not offer any franchising opportunities, but we love to hear from Roots fans near and far as we are constantly growing.  Feel free to reach out to us at feedback@rootsnk.com to share where you would like to see the next Roots location!

    Is Roots organic?

    Our primary sourcing goal is natural foods, and a big part of our company’s mission is to provide affordable and accessible pricing to our customers. Unfortunately, at this time a majority of organic food is overpriced above many customers’ budgets, and at Roots, we are trying to change that.  At this time we are not organic, but we continue to look for the best partners and are always evaluating what we offer. 

    How do I place a tax exempt order?

    Catering: You can always place tax-exempt catering orders! (10+ people)

      • Online: create an account and check the box to “Register as a Company”,  then enter your organization name and tax ID. 
      • Phone/Email: Provide your tax certificate to catering@rootsnk.com

    In-Store Orders: You can always place tax-exempt orders in-store, just let us know at checkout and provide your Tax ID!

    App / Online Orders: We can refund the tax after the fact. We cannot apply tax exemption during checkout. (details on how to be refunded below).

         To get tax refunded on an app/online order:

    1. Place your order online or on the app as usual.
    2. Email your receipt and Tax ID to feedback@rootsnk.com.
    3. We will refund the tax and send you an updated, tax-free receipt within 3 business days.
