Nature does an outstanding job of supporting life. The sun shines. There are nutrients in the ground. Plants grow and produce oxygen. It works. That is why we trust nature when it comes to food and primarily serve things that grow. Natural stuff.
Taste is the most important part of any meal. Delicious food makes us happy. Over time, humans have gotten phenomenal at cooking great food. As a result, Roots needed kitchens, a space to cook food that people can get excited about.
Nature is a bunch of mutually beneficial relationships. Life thrives and develops around these bonds. Ours with food has existed for a very long time. It’s no coincidence our bodies need the stuff in a tomato. That’s just how nature works.
We started cooking to make food taste better. As our tech developed, we went from simply cooking natural food to making our own. A strawberry glazed donut was once a wheat plant, sugar cane, and maybe a strawberry. Undoubtedly an impressive process, and we got to try tons of new foods because of it. However, the more we process food, the more it loses the good stuff we need from it.
A lot of these new foods tire us out as opposed to helping us thrive. We are built to use what nature gives us. That’s how it works. This shows most when we feel the awesome effects of natural food.
